I still haven’t decided if the new Ridgewalk live, work community that’s being developed up near the new Rope Mill exit from 575 is really Towne Lake. Maybe you all can help me decide this issue. Is Ridgewalk in Towne Lake or Olde Town Woodstock? Let me know what you think. Now, on to real news…
Meridian at Ridgewalk is a ranch villa development with three and four bedroom homes priced in the mid $300’s up to the upper $400’s. The builders have designed each villa around a 1,000 square foot courtyard, with walls and glass doors facing into these courtyards. All the courtyard are enclosed by a privacy fence.
The community will feature a clubhouse with exercise room, full kitchen, a card room and entertainment areas.

As I posted earlier, the new Madison Pointe development is taking off. I just found a few of the retailers that will inhabit this project. Here they are:
- Walgreens
- BB&T Bank
- Roly Poly
- Kayson’s Grille
- Lee Spa Nail
- Zucca’s Italian Restaurant
As I get more information I will let you know.

As I said earlier, I just went and looked at the Village at Towne Lake. Things are coming along nicely over there. There have been a few changes since my original post back in December. There are no longer going to be townhomes in this development. The number of houses, according to the sales agent today, is going to be a little under 300, instead of the original 325 I had mentioned.
I toured 4 models, which are open and ready to be viewed right now. These models are in the Courtyard Collection. These are single family homes, but they are attached by a wrought iron gate in the front and back which encloses the courtyard for each home. These floor plans and the courtyards are truly amazing. The courtyard can come with a small spa with a fountain or an outdoor fireplace. One of the models even has both, and boy is that impressive. The four plans are named:
- The Coquille
- The Mackinac
- The Huntington
- The Pocantico
The Pocantico is one level and has a master suite and a second bedroom. There are two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and a two car garage. One of the neatest features of all four of the plans is an office/study which has an entrance off the courtyard and not the house. The Coquille, Mackinac and Huntington all have a second floor which has two more bedrooms separated by a jack and jill bathroom.
All of the homes in the Courtyard Collection have hand laid cobblestone entries, driveways and patios. They come with a 42″ wall mounted plasma EDTV in the family room, granite counter tops, 12″ baseboards throughout the main level, and many more features. The prices start in the low $340’s and go to the low $400’s.
All of the homes in the Courtyard Collection are also sensibly built for the envirnoment and are members of the green building program called EarthCraft House.
I am trying to get images and floor plans to place on the blog here. I will let you know when I get that finished. In the meantime, if you would like to tour these model homes and see what The Village at Towne Lake has to offer, please call me or use contact form to find many ways to reach me.

There is going to be another addition to the Towne Lake Family. The 50 acre, 325 home project called The Village at Towne Lake is located on Dupree Road and is taking advantage of Stone Bridge Parkway, which is being expanded and will be landscaped and maintained to look similar to Towne lake Parkway.
When completed, The Village at Towne Lake will feature sidewalks on both sides of the streets, smaller homes, a pool, clubhouse and lots of greenspace. Price range in the neighborhood will start at $200,000 and go up to $500,000.

As you get off I-575 and turn left onto Towne Lake Parkway you’ll see one of the last remaining undeveloped parcels of land in Towne Lake. Well now, as you can see, the earth is being moved and construction crews are getting ready to build something. But what are they building?
Well, the area is being turned into Madison Pointe at Towne Lake. It’s going to be a mixed use development that the project coordinator calls a “scaled down version of the Market Village in Smyrna,” which he developed. You’ll see a walking friendly development that will be heavy on restaraunts and will feature many walkways and fountains. The residential portion of Madison Pointe at Towne Lake will be 93 townhomes starting at a $225,000 price. The townhomes will be completed in two phases and should be finished in two years.
Other than the restaraunts and townhomes, expect a bank, pharmacy and other retail businesses.
